The Sunset Ballroom Katie + Dave
Katie and Dave’s wedding at Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty in the Sunset Ballroom was definitely a wedding to remember. The two were married outside right on the water with a very intimate ceremony.
Katie and Dave met on a dating site. The two had been talking for weeks when Katie insisted they finally meet in person. At the time Katie was living in New York so she was already impressed when Dave offered to travel all the way from New Jersey to meet her at one of her favorite spots for dinner. Sadly, they found out it was closed once Dave arrived, but that didn’t stop these sweethearts from making the best of it. The conversation was incredible and this first date lead to many more.
After dating for some time Dave decided to pop the question! He took Katie to their favorite spot in Asbury. After brunch and a mimosa, Dave insisted on taking Katie to their favorite spot, Allaire State Park. This was an odd request seeing as it was pouring outside. However, Katie agreed and little did she know the big surprise she was in for. Dave had planned to have his friend hide in the bushes to capture the moment as
Katie had told me that she had a surprise birthday cake for Dave. However, little did she know Dave had a surprise for her as well. Halfway through the reception Dave came out serenading her with the song “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room and the shock on Katie’s face was priceless.
