Mike and Liz’s intimate ceremony in Stone Harbor, New Jersey was the perfect way to celebrate their love. The two often vacation in Stone Harbor with their families. It has been a huge part of their lives and they loved the idea of a wedding on the beach. They originally planned to celebrate at The Pen Ryn Estate, but along with many couples 2020 had different plans for them. When Liz and Mike asked us to still be a part of their special day this year as well as celebrating with them next year we were absolutely thrilled. They told us of their plans for an intimate ceremony on the beach and we instantly knew it was the perfect place for them to start their new life together.

While Mike and Liz were getting ready they both had a card and gift for one another. Liz says when Mike told her he had gotten the perfect card for her she noticed their envelopes were similar in size, which was also not a common size for cards. When they opened them on their wedding day they both laughed realizing they had gotten each other the same card. Mike is very detail oriented and sentimental, but Liz still could of never expected that he would have gotten her the gift that he had. When Liz was younger she dreamt of becoming a children’s book author. During the 6th grade she had the opportunity to write a children’s book for school and she still talks about it to this day! Months before the wedding Mike contacted Liz’s cousin in Australia and asked if she could illustrate and publish her book. This was literally a dream come true for Liz. When she opened the gift the emotion and excitement Liz felt filled the room. To top it off he also gifted her a custom Phillies Jersey, and you can read about their love for baseball in Mike and Liz’s engagement blog post!

Mike and Liz ended their perfect day with some Springers Ice cream and a celebration at the Icona Sand Bar, where all of their close friends and family gathered to celebrate the two of them. It was a beautiful ending to a perfect day accompanied by an acoustic band, amazing food, and they even had a traditional cake cutting! Next year we will be celebrating with Mike and Liz on August 7, 2021 just a day before their one year anniversary! Mike and Liz are both the most joyful people and we cannot wait to be a part of yet another special day for the two of them!
