A Vibrant Boho Wedding at The Barn at Stoneybrooke Brittney + Luke

Wedding at the barn at stoneybrooke

Brittney and Lukes wedding at the Barn at Stoneybrooke was magical and truly Brittney’s vision that came to life. When I first met Brittney she spoke to me about her ideas for the big day. She wanted to incorporate a lot of her and Luke’s personalities as well as their love for deep emerald colors which was so evident especially in Brittneys show stopping bouquet by Blue Moon Florist! After trying on many dresses at bridal stores Brittney knew she wasn’t going to find the dress she was searching for so she looked further. As a result she ended up custom making her dress! It fit her personality and her vision seamlessly and she dressed the room with dreamcatchers, a macrame, and of course added in her pops of color throughout.

HOW THEY MET

Brittney and Luke’s family joke that they should be on a couples add for plenty of fish because that is actually how they met! After looking through Luke’s profile Brittney decided she wanted to reach out to him. She loved his ear for music and she also says she thought he was incredibly cute! After speaking they knew there was an instant connection. After a very non traditional first date spent in pajamas at Brittney’s moms house they knew they were meant to find one another.

Their love for music is just one of the many things they share. If they are not at a concert you can find them well, anywhere in the world. They love to travel and experience other cultures, especially experiencing different types of food! One of their favorite adventures was in Mykonos, Greece where they walked around cobblestone pathways throughout the beautiful town and partied until the morning! Brittney says that European parties typically go all night long! However, if they could pick a dream date they would venture to a private island with a romantic evening on the beach slow dancing to live music and most importantly enjoying one another’s company.

When Brittney and Luke traveled to Cancun, Mexico Luke knew that it was the right time to ask her to marry him. They were vacationing with Brittney’s family who had tricked her in to thinking that they would take some family portraits on the beach, so naturally Brittney got dressed up. When she was in the middle of posing for some pictures she noticed Luke was bending down, and in the moment she thought he was tying his shoe. It didn’t take long before she realized at a second glance that he was holding a ring out in front of him! Brittneys emotions poured out as she was so excited to finally take this next journey together.

Brittney and Luke are constantly falling deeper in love with one another. They say they’ve stayed in the honeymoon phase for 11 years and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Their shared values, interests, and an intense love for living life to its fullest is what makes their relationship so beautiful. We were able to see this and capture it on their wedding day. Their ability to truly be in the moment and dedication to one another’s happiness is something that stood out immediately! We loved capturing their day from start to finish and cannot wait to follow along and see the many journeys they will take together!
