MTA headed to the waterfront for Heather and Greg’s Bonnet Island Estate wedding on Long Beach Island. Neutral and clean tones took over their wedding decor, with hints of sage and moss green. Their Fall wedding at the Bonnet Island Estate was a beautiful one and one that MTA will remember forever.
Like many couples on their wedding day, Heather and Greg wanted to be “in the moment” as much as possible. That means leaving a lot of the coordination for photos in the hands of MTA. Don’t worry, they were in good hands! Heather and Greg chose this Long Beach Island wedding venue for their special day for one good reason. It’s their happy place and somewhere that Heather and her family have been coming since before she was born. It has quickly grown to be a place they both enjoy and visit frequently. We fell in love with all of Heather’s details and heirlooms collected from her mother and grandmother. Within the bouquet, there was a piece of Heather’s grandmother’s dress and Greg’s grandmother’s rosary wrapped around it. Heather’s dress from The Lovely Bride was paired with her mother’s earrings, making her final wedding look absolutely breathtaking. It was apparent how beautiful she was through the reactions of both her dad and Greg during their first looks.
Heather and Greg shared their vow exchange in front of friends and family inside the Boathouse Chapel at The Bonnet Island Estate. Prior to the ceremony, Heather and Greg had exchanged cards for each other to read. This just made the time to get up in front of everyone and officially tie the knot, that much more special though. Something we absolutely love when our couples do.
The reception space at Bonnet Island Estate is one that I will never be able to get over. Floor-to-ceiling windows along with wood-beamed ceilings made the space so light and airy. Something we all know we love over here at MTA. During the reception, a live band by the name of Brian Kirk and The Jirks performed. It was a refreshing experience rather than having a DJ (which no hate to DJs), but they played beautifully and were a great addition to their reception. Before packing up our bags, MTA stole the newlyweds for some night portraits which are always fun if the time calls for it. Heather and Greg were beaming with happiness and that is always the kind of result we look for when ending off a wedding day.
