Once the warm weather hits, the beach is where everyone gravitates. Not only to lay out, catch a tan, and enjoy the ocean breeze but it’s a fan-favorite location for engagement photos. It gives off a very effortless and free-flowing feel to engagement photos, which is why many couples opt for a beach location for their engagement session. For Erin and Chris, they wanted their engagement session to tell the story of their free-flowing love. When asked how Erin and Chris knew each other were “the one”, they both responded with the same answer. They both just always “knew”. From the beginning their love was effortless, and these engagement photos radiated that exact same energy. I now present to you, a New York Summer engagement in The Hamptons with Erin and Chris.
Erin and Chris met during their first weekend back at college during their Senior year. After meeting at a college party they soon realized they were neighbors on campus for that upcoming year. Quickly, they became friends, and quickly after that… they started dating. After a few years of dating, the infamous “Will you marry me question” was spring. During their annual Christmas tradition of eating at The River Café in Brooklyn, NY both their lives changed forever.
For Erin and Chris’ engagement session, we headed to Coopers Beach in Southampton, NY. Coopers Beach is actually rated among the Top Ten Beaches in America and after being there, now I know why. Here you can enjoy white sand beaches with tall grass that stretches on for miles. Behind you are historic mansions and of course, easy access to the roaring waves that are so picturesque. The beach has a $40-a-day parking fee which includes full facilities such as concession, a bathhouse, chair, and umbrella rentals. Coopers Beach in Southampton is also dog-friendly which was perfect for Erin and Chris to share their engagement session with their adorable Golden pup.
The weather on this particular day was absolutely beautiful. The sun was shining and the weather was warm and ultimately a perfect storm for some beach engagement photos in the Hamptons. We were able to fit in a quick outfit change during their session which gave us the perfect opportunity to have fun and get creative. Erin first wore this gorgeous blue floral long-sleeved mini dress while Chris kept things fairly casual and clean with a monochromatic cream look.
Following that, Erin changed into a formal white midi dress which paired beautifully with Chris’ monochrome look. Together these two looked like they should have been on the cover of Vogue. Erin and Chris wanted their photos to look lived in, candid and to showcase their funloving and free-spirited personalities. We chased the sunset and overlooked the beauty that was Southampton as we celebrated their love and the beginning of a beautiful chapter.
These two are tying the knot in June 2025 and I am counting down the days!
