“My favorite attribute about Joe is how ride-or-die he is for those he loves,” Maryssa shared. Moreover, she explained, “He is a military man and police officer, so he puts others before himself naturally.” Additionally, “He is the most loyal person on the planet. Once he considers you family, you know you are safe with him.”

Their relationship is a beautiful balance. Specifically, he’s introverted while she’s extroverted. Together, they love experiencing new restaurants and finding new favorite spots. Under the guise of visiting a military museum, he brought Maryssa to the Goat Island Light House. However, when she turned around after taking a photo of the lighthouse, he was down on one knee. The moment was pure magic. As a result, Newport will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
