Michelle and Andrew first met while attending Elon University and began dating at the start of their sophomore year. Over the past eight years, they built a beautiful life together in Philadelphia with their sweet puppy, Millie. When Andrew proposed by the river in Pennsylvania, under a romantic arch in the rain, family and friends cheered from the porch. From that moment forward, it was only the beginning of a lifetime of cherished memories.
One of the most powerful moments of the day was the signing of their ketubah, a sacred Jewish marriage contract. Michelle’s grandfather was honored as one of the signatories, which made the moment even more meaningful. Above all,it reflected the couple’s devotion to family and tradition. After his passing shortly after the wedding, the ketubah became a treasured keepsake. Displayed in their home, it serves as a reminder of love, legacy, and family.
For their ceremony, Michelle and Andrew envisioned timeless elegance in a natural setting. Guests gathered beneath a majestic willow tree as the couple exchanged vows. The understated design of white blooms and lush greenery blended seamlessly with the estate gardens. As a result, the atmosphere felt both magical and deeply personal.
Michelle wore Diana by Netta BenShabu, a gown with intricate lace, delicate beading, and a flattering mermaid silhouette. It struck the perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. Meanwhile, Andrew looked timeless in a classic black tuxedo from Schweon’s. He wore his late grandfather’s cufflinks, an heirloom that added heartfelt meaning to the day.
The black-tie wedding extended to the bridal party. Bridesmaids wore champagne silk dresses in varied silhouettes, creating softness while keeping the look cohesive. In contrast, the groomsmen mirrored Andrew’s timeless style in black tuxedos and bow ties. Together, they created a polished aesthetic that beautifully matched the venue’s atmosphere.
The celebration continued with an outdoor cocktail hour in the gardens. Guests enjoyed a menu featuring mini lobster rolls, poke bowls, lamb chops, and stunning antipasto displays. Meanwhile, a violinist set the perfect tone for the evening.
Dinner followed under the reception tent, with glowing taper candles and sweeping garden views. Entrées included braised short ribs, salmon with lemon dill sauce, chicken piccata, and truffle mushroom ravioli. Their three-tier cake from The Night Kitchen Bakery—half yellow cake and half chocolate chip—was as delicious as it was beautiful.
In addition, Michelle and Andrew added personal touches throughout the reception. Monogrammed drink toppers personalized their signature cocktails. Later in the evening, guests enjoyed a Philly cheesesteak send-off. The drinks also reflected their personalities—Andrew’s cucumber gin & tonic and Michelle’s spicy pineapple margarita.
When choosing their venue, Michelle and Andrew wanted a place that embraced the beauty of nature while offering elegance and intimacy. Ultimately, Appleford Estate was exactly that. With its sprawling gardens and seamless flow between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, the property offered an unforgettable backdrop. Furthermore, the staff’s attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing the couple and guests to immerse themselves fully in the celebration.

After their wedding, Michelle and Andrew embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon in Thailand. They explored the vibrant city of Bangkok, immersed themselves in the culture of Chiang Mai, and unwound on the serene beaches of Koh Samui. Therefore, this adventure was the perfect mix of exploration and relaxation to begin their married life together.
Michelle and Andrew’s Summer Wedding at Appleford Estate seamlessly wove together faith, family, and elegance. Every moment—from the ketubah signing to the willow tree ceremony and the joyful reception—reflected their love story.
Overall, their wedding was not only a breathtaking event but also a true reflection of who they are as a couple: grounded in tradition, surrounded by love, and ready to embrace the next chapter together.
