Romantic River House at Odette’s wedding | Noreen + David

Romantic River House at Odette’s Wedding | Noreen + David

Noreen and David’s romantic River House at Odette’s wedding was a celebration of love, family, and tradition. Their August day unfolded along the picturesque Delaware River. Moreover, their celebration took place at one of New Hope’s most enchanting venues. From emotional first looks to spirited dancing, every detail reflected the couple’s deep connection. Additionally, it showcased their appreciation for those they love most.

A Vibrant Summer Wedding Vision

Noreen envisioned a color palette bursting with life and energy. Furthermore, she drew inspiration from the warmth of late summer. Vibrant pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows created a celebratory atmosphere throughout the day. However, in a beautiful contrast, her bridal bouquet was elegantly simple. Specifically, it featured a classic arrangement of white calla lilies that exuded timeless sophistication.

Noreen’s gown from Elizabeth Johns Bridal complemented the romantic riverside setting perfectly. Meanwhile, David looked sharp in his attire from Commonwealth Proper. He paired it with shoes from Officine Creative. The couple chose not to have a traditional bridal party. Instead, they spent the morning getting ready surrounded by their closest friends. As a result, this decision allowed for an intimate and relaxed start to their celebration.

The Beauty of River House at Odette’s

Nestled along the Delaware River in New Hope, Pennsylvania, The River House at Odette’s offers couples a romantic waterfront setting with endless charm. The historic inn provides both elegance and intimacy, with the river serving as a breathtaking natural backdrop for ceremonies and portraits.

For couples seeking a venue that combines natural beauty with sophisticated service, The River House at Odette’s delivers an unforgettable experience. The property’s riverside path, weeping willow trees, and classic architecture create countless opportunities for editorial imagery. During the summer months, the lush greenery and golden light along the water create pure magic.

Emotional First Looks and River House Romance

One of the most moving moments was Noreen’s first look with her father. This happened before she saw David. Indeed, the emotion between father and daughter was palpable. It set a beautiful tone for what would come next. Subsequently, Noreen and David shared their own first look. Specifically, this took place along the path following the river up to the inn. Smiles, embraces, and perhaps a tear or two marked this tender moment between the couple.

Following their first look, we created epicly romantic portraits beneath the iconic willow tree. Notably, this is one of the venue’s most photographed locations. The soft draping branches and riverside light provided a dreamy quality. In fact, it gave their images an almost ethereal appearance. After portraits, the couple participated in their Ketubah signing at the inn. Consequently, they honored their Jewish traditions in an intimate setting.

A Father-Officiated Ceremony with Meaningful Traditions

In a deeply personal touch, Noreen’s father Tom officiated the ceremony. As a result, it added layers of emotion and significance to their vows. The couple wrote their own vows. Thus, they shared their hearts with each other and their gathered loved ones. The ceremony concluded with all the romance one could hope for. First, there was a dramatic dip. Then came a first kiss as newlyweds. Finally, they completed the breaking of the glass, a beautiful nod to Jewish tradition.

As guests cheered and celebrated, one thing became clear. Indeed, this River House at Odette’s wedding was going to be an unforgettable celebration.

An Incredible Cocktail Hour and Reception

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to an extraordinary cocktail hour. It featured shrimp cocktail, an Asian station, and lamb chops. Additionally, there was an array of delicious offerings. Noreen’s signature drink, a French 75, added a touch of elegance to the festivities. Meanwhile, one unique detail delighted guests—the traditional Pittsburgh cookie table. This was a sweet nod to family heritage and tradition.

The reception was filled with joy and meaningful moments. Initially, Noreen and David shared their first dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” This romantic choice had everyone smiling. Shortly after, the celebration kicked into high gear with the Hora. As a result, everyone jumped to their feet in jubilant celebration. Later in the evening around 8:45pm, guests were treated to a special Irish dance. Notably, this is a tradition Noreen’s family has honored for years. Her uncle even played the accordion for the occasion. Throughout the night, the live band from Experience by Eddie Bruce kept the energy flowing.

Every element of the evening created an atmosphere of romance and celebration. From the dark and moody reception lighting to the vibrant florals by Blomst Floral Design, each detail was perfect.
