I’m a Philadelphia wedding photographer who has had the honor of documenting many love stories throughout the years. However, Meredith and Joe’s Glen Foerd Philadelphia wedding is one of them that stands out from the crowd.
Meredith and Joe met back in 2014 while attending the University of Delaware. They began dating just after Joe’s graduation in 2016 and have been together ever since. It wasn’t until several years later that the two lovebirds would take a life-changing trip to Mexico for Joe’s birthday. On a trip that was originally planned by Meredith for Joe’s birthday, she was completely caught off guard when Joe flipped the script and asked her to marry him. In complete and utter shock, she was stunned. however, the answer came quickly to her. A big fat Y-E-S and the rest was history.
While I have seen many Philadelphia wedding venues, Glen Foerd stands out amongst the rest. Glen Foerd sits alongside the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today this gorgeous estate brings together art, architecture, history, and culture to anyone’s wedding celebration. This Philadelphia wedding venue has stunning water views and is conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. With stunning gardens located on the property, not only does this make this the perfect wedding venue but perfect backdrop location for your wedding portraits. It was these beautiful gardens and outdoor feelers that made Meredith and Joe choose Glen Foerd in the first place.
Before you start signing the paperwork to have your Glen Foerd wedding, here is some important information that you’re going to need to know.

Meredith and Joe focused wanted to tie in elegance and romance into their wedding day. Throughout their dusty blue, blush, and gold tones tied throughout their florals, decor, and details, it truly was those things. The morning was spent getting ready for all the remaining festivities that lie ahead of us. It wasn’t until Meredith & Joe’s first look that things instantly felt completely real and in motion. Meredith and Joe had their first look at the Merchants’ Exchange Building in Downtown Philadelphia. One of Philadelphia’s most prominent wedding photo locations, for good reason though. It was here that we also took some stunning wedding portraits before making our way to Glen Foerd.
Much like their love, Meredith and Joe wanted their wedding day to reflect loving, happy, and energetic vibes. It was a day of celebration and we ensured to keep it that way. Meredith and Joe had the most amazing ceremony overlooking the Delaware River. Following that was their reception in a gorgeous tented space on the property at Glen Foerd. To say that they didn’t go above and beyond would be an understatement. Everything from the intricate details and glistening chandeliers tied together Meredith and Joe’s vision to a tee. It was a stunning day with a stunning couple and I am beyond honored to have been able to document such beauty.
Huge thank you to all of the amazing vendors who came together to make Meredith & Joe’s wedding day so special!
