There are wedding days that feel beautiful — and then there are wedding days that feel cinematic. Elena and Oliver’s luxury London elopement at The Goring Hotel was the latter: refined, romantic, deeply personal, and effortlessly timeless.
Set in the heart of Belgravia, London, their elopement unfolded against iconic English architecture, Union Jack–lined streets prepared for St. George’s Day, and the storied elegance of one of London’s most celebrated wedding venues. From intimate vows to wandering the streets of Chelsea and central London, their day was a true reflection of their love story — rooted in travel, laughter, and meaningful places around the world.
Elena and Oliver met while Elena was studying abroad at The University of Oxford, a chapter of life that unknowingly shaped everything that followed. When you see these two together, it’s impossible not to notice that laughter is their love language.
Their first date took place at Vaults and Garden, one of Oxford’s most beloved cafés. It was there, over coffee and conversation, that they both quietly realized they had found something rare. Oliver later shared,
“Elena walked in with that big, contagious smile, and I knew in that moment this would be one of many coffee dates together. It was quintessential.”
During school breaks, they took every opportunity to travel back to the United States to visit Elena’s family in Newport, Rhode Island. One of their favorite memories was Oliver’s first trip stateside — lunch at Hotel Viking, time by the water watching sailboats drift through the harbor, and a romantic picnic overlooking the coast. Newport quickly became another meaningful chapter in their story.
After graduation, they both chose to make London, England their home — a city that would hold some of their most defining moments together.
When Oliver decided it was time to propose, he wanted the moment to feel both extravagant and intimate. In the summer of 2023, they planned a trip to Paris, France — their first time experiencing the city together.
They spent their days exploring the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and the iconic streets of Paris. On their final night, Oliver planned a romantic dinner at Baronne, located in the 8th arrondissement inside the historic Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild.
As they walked through the gates of the magnificent estate — built between 1872 and 1878 — Oliver got down on one knee and asked Elena to marry him. Through tears of joy, she said yes, and Paris became forever woven into their love story.
Their engagement session took place during peak cherry blossom season in Notting Hill, London. Though the air was crisp, the rain held off, creating a soft, romantic atmosphere that felt quintessentially London.
While Elena and Oliver plan to celebrate later with family, they knew they wanted to exchange vows in the city they call home. They chose to elope at The Goring Hotel, one of London’s most iconic luxury wedding venues.
Their day began at The Goring, surrounded by elegant interiors, lush gardens, and impeccable service. From there, we explored the surrounding streets of Belgravia and Chelsea, capturing editorial-style portraits that felt natural and timeless. As London prepared for St. George’s Day, Union Jack flags lined the streets, adding a distinctly British charm to their wedding imagery.
Founded in 1910 by Otto Goring, The Goring Hotel has been a favorite among London’s elite for over a century. It is the only hotel to have ever received a Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth II, a reflection of its impeccable standards and legacy.
Located on a quiet Belgravia street, just steps from St. James’s Park and within walking distance of Chelsea, Westminster, and Mayfair, The Goring offers couples a rare combination of privacy and prestige.
