There are some wedding venues that are just iconic. The Water Works By Cescaphe is one of them, in fact. As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I am no stranger to Water Works. I’ve actually had the opportunity to shoot countless weddings at this Philadelphia wedding venue before. You can check out Toriana and Ryan’s beautiful wedding day at Water Works here. However, today we are talking about Carmen and Colin and their beautiful Water Works By Cescaphe Wedding. With beautiful hues of light blue, white, and gold tied throughout their wedding decor and an amazing Chinese Lion Dance performance, it was a wedding day I will never forget.
Water Works By Cescaphe is a gorgeous wedding venue here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This Philadelphia wedding venue offers a rich contemporary luxury feel for any couple looking for an upscale Philadelphia wedding. It includes lavish interior spaces right alongside the Delaware River that gives you some of the most incredible views. Here you can find the most picturesque settings, classic and elegant structures, and lush landscaped lawns that are amazing for any couple looking for a Water Works by Cescaphe wedding.
Carmen and Colin chose to have their wedding at this Philadelphia wedding venue due to the location as well as Cescaphe hosting the best weddings. They both also really valued having a smaller wedding which Water Works offered the best experience and bang for their buck.
One of the key features of why this Philadelphia wedding venue is so sought after is the top-quality amenities that they offer their couples. Some of those amenities include:
When it comes to your wedding cost to have a Water Works wedding, this may vary depending on two factors. One is when you book your wedding, aka whether you book during peak or off-peak season. Two is how many guests you plan on attending aka feeding as well. On average, couples who have a wedding at this Philadelphia wedding venue spend between $18,000 – $22,000 for around 100 guests. However, this number can be very different depending on the season you book and how many guests you have attended.

For Carmen and Colin, the most important thing was to have their wedding day bring together romance, fun, and the blend of their two cultures. It was crucial that throughout the day, we focus on capturing the romantic, earthy, and modern chic look of all the beautiful detailing, florals, and decor that went into Carmen and Colin’s wedding day. Emotional first-look moments with her bridesmaids and her dad led to a slew of emotions and tears as we geared up for Carmen’s first look with Colin. It was here that these two united on the day that would change everything forever.
One thing that this Philadelphia wedding venue is not short of is backdrop locations. So soaking in the beauty of the Delaware River that flows next to us as well as the stunning structures of the venue was crucial when it came time for wedding photos.
Carmen and Colin had a beautiful and more intimate style ceremony at The Engine House, which is Water Works’ main ballroom. It was here that the two lovers would exchange their vows in front of friends and family and witness an outpouring of love as they became one unit.
The ceremony space was then transformed into their reception area where rose petal cannons went off, cakes were cut and a traditional Chinese Lion Dance by the Philadelphia Suns was performed. Guests partied until they couldn’t anymore and it was a beautiful ending to Carmen and Colin’s phenomenal wedding day.
Huge thank you to all of the amazing vendors who came out to make this day so beautiful and amazing for Colin & Carmen!
