It was about four years ago when Jackie and Rob first met via an app. Over the years together, Jackie and Rob learned that they were two peas from the same pod. A perfect match so to say, which led to Rob proposing to Jackie on the waterfront in Brooklyn Bridge Park. When Jackie and Rob inquired with me, we aligned immediately on their wedding vision. Taking it back to the water where everything started, Jackie and Rob had a Hudson House wedding in Jersey City, NJ. Surrounded by all of their family and friends and some gorgeous NYC skyline views, they made their lifelong commitment to one another and it took everyone’s breath away.
Nestled along the end of Port Liberté in Jersey City, New Jersey is this contemporary wedding venue, Hudson House. Surrounding this NJ wedding venue are breathtaking water views and a front-row view of New York City’s city skyline. Hudson House gives off a very elegant and sophisticated look, due to its location and architecture. Making it the perfect New Jersey wedding venue to have a classic, elegant, and luxurious wedding. Whether you want a more intimate style wedding or something more grand, Hudson House can accommodate a wide variety of wedding sizes. Their max guest capacity is at 550 guests.
Having a Hudson House wedding in Jersey City is best for couples wanting a more modern, urban chic type feel to their wedding day. Inside Hudson House, you will find a rather neutral color palette making it easy and convenient to decorate the space to your liking, without worrying about any theme/color clashes. If you love breathtaking views of some of NYC’s infamous landmarks, modern amenities, and decor along with versatility, then having a Hudson House wedding may be just what you’re looking for.

Hudson House creates the perfect atmosphere to really build off of a blank slate and create your dream wedding experience. With that, their blush white ivory and pale peach color combination made for an elegant and classic pairing. The theme behind their special day surrounded a modern chic look, which was perfect for the modern style of the Hudson House. The morning was spent taking detail photos and capturing sweet getting-ready moments at The Westin. Both Jackie and Rob got ready at this four-star hotel which had fantastic lighting for photos. A key point when investing in your wedding photography btw!
Shortly after, we witnessed a beautiful first-look moment between Jackie and her father before heading to the water for Jackie and Rob’s first look. One of the many benefits of having a Hudson House wedding is that there are plenty of photo opportunities. Wandering throughout Liberty State Park and Hudson House were just some of the many stunning backdrops we were able to use for their portraits.
It wasn’t long until guests began gathering for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. Overlooking water views, Jackie and Rob made their vows to one another. The sun was beaming and tears were flowing which made it the perfect scene to capture.
Decked with floor-to-ceiling windows, their reception space was everything we could have imagined. So much natural light beamed in throughout the entire space and everything was decorated to the nine’s. Shoutout to Peonies to Paint Chips for the insane floral arrangements which only enhanced everything else about this reception space. Guests danced the night away as we all celebrated Jackie and Rob’s love. A rather perfect way to end their Hudson House wedding.
