THE WEDDING DAY
Chelsey and Sean had the perfect intimate wedding at home! Sean’s parents turned their backyard into a full wedding venue for the special day. When Chelsey and Sean realized their day might not look the same as they originally planned they decided that they still wanted to celebrate with the people closest to them on the day that they chose. The talented Jennifer from Kaleidoscope Weddings brought Chelsey and Sean’s vision to life. Chelsey wanted soft neutral colors with pops of pink throughout. The florals by Nancy Saam Flowers added the perfect touch of color through the reception space, ceremony, and of course the lovely bouquets! When I first met with Chelsey and Sean they both told me how much their family meant to them. Chelsey also mentioned her sister and how much she adored watching Say Yes to the Dress. Chelsey decided to surprise her by buying her, her very own wedding dress to wear on the day. Seeing the love shared throughout both of their families was truly remarkable and made their day even more special than I could of imagined.
THEIR LOVE STORY
Sean and Chelsey met during college at their freshman year orientation at Ursinus College. They caught each others eye while Chelsey was taking a picture with their school mascot in front of the cafeteria. However, this moment was short lived and it wasn’t until Chelsey initiated conversation on facebook that the two began to interact. Finally Sean invited Chelsey to dinner at the Red Lion Diner on his way to LBI for senior week. Their date at the diner went so well that Sean decided to ask Chelsey to join him at the beach the following day. After spending the day together the two shared their first kiss on a bayside bench while enjoying some ice cream at the Jersey Shore. Although they are entirely opposite, and at the time thought beginning a relationship and college was a crazy idea, Sean decided to move forward and ask Chelsey to be his girlfriend! Chelsey said yes, and it seems although it may have been a chaotic time to begin a relationship these two were meant for one another!
To this day that bench where their love story truly began is one of their favorite places to be together. They also love going to the Poconos, staying at home together with their tortoise shell cat Izzie, and enjoying picnics in Valley Forge Park. After being in each others lives for quite some time and making it through college, and new careers Sean decided it was time to ask Chelsey to be his forever. He proposed to Chelsey on June 14, 2019 almost a year before their engagement session to date. He had his close friend hide in the bushes and capture the entire moment! It was absolutely perfect.
